Bruise Easy 03:56
When we said our goodbyes, I heard the silence start to ring. When we said our goodbyes, I felt my cheek begin to sting I was bracing for the blow, but it hit me hard. Adrenaline was pumping, and it hit me hard. Don't worry, I still sing. My chest is tight but I can still breathe. Go on, I'll be just fine. I may bruise easy, but we didn't break a thing. You left just in time, for my heart to still beat on it's own. You left just in time, for the ache to stay dull in my bones. I was bracing for the blow, but it hit me hard. Adrenaline was pumping and it hit me hard. The room stopped spinning. I'm still standing now. I'm almost steady now, steady now.

Last night, you fell out of the sky. I saw you gently land upon a clover. You were safe. You were heard. You were here. Your voice, the only thing i knew of you. There I held you in my hand. Just a speck of whisper from your voice. You were safe. You were heard. You were here. And we found worlds beyond our own. Covered in clover, I'm listening. Going through them one by one. Covered in clover, I'm listening. Please don't make yourself at home. Covered in clover, I can't hear you anymore. I can't hear you anymore. They said my mind is out of joint. But you were safely sitting on a clover. Pointed fingers, leaning shoulders And the dark side of their shoes. I watched them fly you from my hold. Maybe we, we'll be saved by the smallest of them all. Maybe we, we'll be saved by the smallest of them all.

Safe 03:41
Don’t come near me. Don’t you touch me so kind. I thought I told you, walk away. Don’t you trust me? I said I loved you today. No, I won’t hold you, just back away. You’re just not safe near me There’s a long list of reasons why. I’m just not safe near you I can’t love you (like you want me to/like I wanted to) I’m on my own now, It’s not ideal but I’ll live We took our chances, we’re better off alone. I hope you find it All the love there is to give Mine’s not enough to call your own

Wheels turn with the curves of earth Wild roads made into verse Love is not a cloud pinned down Finders never find, they're only found Still there's cravings, always longing, always yearning Destined, to the road. Love is on the way. Love is on the way. I'm destined, to the road Love is on the way. I will make my way. Love is not a place to land. It liberates with open hands. Glamour never sparkles for long. Age can see it all along with hindsight, always focused, always driven.

I wrote your name across the sky It glittered gold into the night I felt my skin catch the spark My heart... I'm a fool for you (x3) I cannot escape my heart It'll just keep beating on (x3) I cannot escape my heart I cannot escape my heart Ironclad & buried deep I reached out through your thorns & your weeds I felt you pierce with heat My heart... No it's not a lot, All we have are scars When it's said and done, All we have are scars

about

Recorded live at Urban Grace in Tacoma, WA by Joonior Studios.

Acts of neurological defiance break through creative glass ceilings.
This is proof.

With roots in Texas & Georgia, Emily Ann Peterson spent over 17 years as a cellist collaboratively writing songs with her colleagues & singing along when asked. That is until late 2013 when she was diagnosed with a degenerative tremor in her right hand.

Refusing to resign to fate and genetics, she expanded and wrote these songs.
